The Ellendale Volunteer Fire Protection District provides fire, rescue, extrication, and hazmat protection to the residents of Ellendale and the surrounding area.  Presently 29 volunteers from the community comprise the membership of the department.  These members dedicate their time and lives to ensuring that our community is protected from fire and other hazards.  The departments serves an area approxiamtely 20 miles in and around Ellendale encompassing approximately 4000 residents.
