Holy Smokes! |
|
Wed,
May 6th
Since the first of the year EFD's call volume has hit the roof. In
fact the fire stats at the right are not even close.
With the high call volumes fire fighters are having a
difficult time keeping up with the paper work associated
with each fire call.
Since the first of the year EFD has responded to three incidents
requiring care flight. EFD responded to the large Maud
Evans fire in addition to about a half a dozen other grass
type fires. Since the first of May EFD has responded
to an anhydrous ammonia spill and a grass fire caused by a
downed power line. Whew... We are getting our fill.
Please be safe.... and know that we are here to help. |

April

Ellendale Fire responded to an out of control controlled burn
on the evening of April 15th. EFD along with support
from Forbes Fire and Edgeley Fire worked 5 hours to
extinguish the flames. Weather conditions caused great
concern as low humidity and high winds made extinguishment
difficult.
